The Teej festival celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of clouds and rain, greenery and birds, rituals and customs. The celebration includes dancing, singing, getting together with friends, telling stories, dressing up, getting henna tattoos on hands and feet, wearing red, yellow or green clothes, sharing festive food, and playing under trees on swings on Hariyali Teej.
We at Little One celebrated Teej with enthusiasm. Children were all dressed in ethnic attire and danced along with mothers on Teej songs.
